Cheap flights to the Gulf and beyond: when and how to book
Most of our travellers fly to Dubai, Doha, Jeddah and Riyadh. A little planning makes these routes noticeably cheaper and much less stressful.
Book at the right time
For Gulf routes, fares are usually most reasonable four to eight weeks before departure. Around Eid, school holidays and long weekends, seats fill quickly, so book earlier and keep your dates flexible by a day or two.
Compare more than the price
Two fares with the same price can be very different trips. Check the baggage allowance, how long the connection is and whether the ticket can be changed. Our search shows the fare family and baggage for every option where the airline provides it.
Umrah and family travel
For Umrah, match your flights to your visa dates and allow a buffer day for paperwork. Families should check child and infant fares, seat selection and whether a stroller travels free.
After you book
Your e-ticket and PNR appear in your account as soon as the booking is confirmed. Keep your passport valid for at least six months after your return date, and check in online up to 24 hours before departure.
